The RF body contouring rejuvenation treatment is suitable for both men and women who want to reduce areas of stubborn fat, cellulite or loose skin. How do RF treatments work?
Radio frequency heats the fat cells in the adipose layer of the skin. The heat forces the adipocytes to secrete fatty acids into the lymph nodes and blood vessels, where it is filtered out of the body. As fatty acids are released, the adipocytes shrink and the body becomes slimmer.
RF heats both the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin. This causes the collagen fibers in the treated area to contract. The contractions of these fibers tighten the skin showing an immediate effect. This energy also increases the metabolism of fibroblasts resulting in the production of new collagen fibers. This collagen production results in long-term, lasting effects.
What is the treatment like?
First, your technician will apply a small amount of gel to the treatment area. Then, she will use the RF handpiece to gently massage the surface of your skin using a sweeping, circular movement. The handpiece will gradually heat the skin surface. As the skin’s temperature rises to the targeted temperature, the RF machine will automatically adjust the energy output to ensure precise heating of the skin. A small zone is treated for about 15 minutes to achieve the goal of sustained heating to the target tissues.
